In our annual choral masterworks concert, we showcase the unique voice and vision of the English composer Ralph Vaughan Williams, one of the most important symphonists of the 20th century. Vaughan Williams’ A Sea Symphony (1910) combines the poetry of Walt Whitman with majestic writing for chorus and orchestra in a stirring and heartfelt exploration of sea, soul, and self. Concert length: c. 75 minutes with no intermission.
