In place of live concerts this season, we are offering a series of on line broadcasts of some of our favorite performances in recent years, with introductory background and commentary from our Music Director.
This month’s entry features Samuel Barber’s Prayers of Kierkegaard, a beautifully crafted musical response to anxious times. Tami Petty sings the poignant solo originally written for Leontyne Price, joined by the full forces of the Choral Society and Orchestra, recorded live at Grace Church in May 2017.
